I work with individuals and with families to help them feel their best. I have been a busy mum of one for 14 years now so I understand how stressful life can be.
From the very moment my husband and I decided to have a family, I struggled to get good quality sleep, taking downtime for myself became a thing of the past unless I was ferried off to a spa for the day with no technology (even then it was hard to switch off as my mind thought of the hundreds of ‘To-Do’s’ on my ever running list I had to get through).
My own needs fell way down the list of priorities to the very bottom. Family comes first and with those days of juggling way too many things for too long eventually led to me feeling, and most probably looking, like a zombie from the Walking Dead.
My body and mind were physically and mentally exhausted. My brain was unable to figure out how to string a sentence together, brain fog was a regular occurrence. Thankfully, I am now equipped with the nutritional know-how to feel my best, most of the time.
I know how difficult it can be to make a commitment to yourself for ‘ME TIME’, but please know that it is okay to give yourself this permission and allowance.
